I love how ideas grow.
Some boys in my class had an idea of writing a parody song using 'like a drum' (a song we have been singing) and it would be called 'like my Mum'. I think it just started as a joke idea really but we ran with it. We have now written lyrics, sung it as a class and recorded it. We want to then make a music video and then burn it to a cd/dvd. Hopefully it will be a very special surprise for the mother figures in our lives.
These boys are so happy with how this song has turned out so far - they are inspired to write more song parodies. So watch this space! It might even get posted on this or our class blog!
